See you this evening at the Mini Summit!
I am looking forward to welcoming everyone attending today's Conversational AI Mini Summit in London this evening.
Thank you very much to the team at Koios and the team at Qualyfi for supporting the event as sponsors. Please take a few moments to check them out, they are both doing very interesting things in and around the field of Conversational AI.
We've got a fabulous selection of individuals coming this evening so I am confident that everyone will meet at least one useful contact, if not hopefully a few more.
We have a guest list full of practitioners (i.e. those implementing/running Conversational AI), professional services, vendors, service providers, AI founders, AI experts and, quite possibly, even an AI-focused barrister. I think we'll have representatives from two massive banks doing Conversational AI, representing millions of messages per month.
I emailed the details and run-down to all of those on the guest list - however, for those who can't attend, here's that email to give you an idea of what's happening. (I've left out the location details just to make sure we're managing numbers properly.)
Here are the details you need for the Conversational AI Mini Summit.
If you would like to bring a colleague, please do let me know so I can manage numbers.
What To Expect
The room is intentionally small! Together with the stage manager, I'll be setting out chairs in front of the stage. We'll use these for the first part of the event, then clear them away for networking. The room has its own dedicated (tiny) bar. So we'll be making use of that, although, for speed, I'm going to ask them to have a selection of (free) drinks ready for you to just pick up.
There are 4 key things to expect:
- Expect a welcome from me. I am so pleased you have agreed to make the time so I will endeavour to say hello to everyone.
- Everyone has an interest. Every attendee has an interest in Conversational AI: So if you're looking for a conversation starter, that could be a logical place to start. Remember, every attendee has purposefully opted-in to attend. They are keen to meet and discuss the topic.
- The speakers are very keen to interact. To keep things fast-paced, we won't take too many questions - instead, you'll be able to literally walk up and ask your question and the speakers will be very keen to discuss, I'm sure.
- The sponsors, Tom (Koios) and Neil (Qualyfi) are equally keen to interact. Please do seek them out and say thank you as they've collectively helped to make the event possible.
The Agenda
- Fireside Chat with [withheld] from the very big bank - they are listed in the Top 10 global banks, but if you recall, he had asked that I don't mention them publicly. He's going to talk through his experience deploying Conversational AI internally there. (25mins)
- Industry Talk with Tom from Koios. He's going to talk through their approach to emotionally intelligent Conversational AI. You can read more about them here. (10mins)
- Industry Talk with Neil from Qualyfi. Neil will discuss their AskQ virtual assistant and how they're helping drive talent development with it. Read more about them here. (10mins)
- Startup Talk with Ed Hodges. He recently sold his Conversational AI company, HelloDone. I'll be asking Ed to reflect on his journey and perspectives. (10mins)
- Networking, and drinks. (The rest of the time)
The same agenda could have been delivered across 5 hours, but I've deliberately kept things short. I will be keeping a close eye on the time to ensure we keep things moving along. The aim is to offer you a brilliant summary from each speaker – so much so that you might be tempted to find out more details directly.
Chatham House Rules
So that conversation can be as free-flowing as possible, we'll apply the Chatham House Rules standard for the event – that is, you can discuss what has been said publicly, but *not* who said it, or who attended. If you've got any questions, please send me a note.
See you there! If you've got any questions, email me: ewan@conversationalainews.com.
