Leveraging GenAI for Strategic Planning
Carlos Cortez Moodley was at our Conversational AI Mini Summit this week. He's been leading Conversational AI implementations in financial services for quite a while.
He recently joined the Conversational AI News WhatsApp group – and this morning, posted a note about a Harvard Business Review article he'd been reading.
I asked if I could repost and he agreed - so here we go. Carlos writes:
Here's an excellent article from Harvard Business Review on how senior leaders can leverage GenAI for strategic planning, particularly in areas like ideation and risk analysis, while also addressing its limitations, such as its unsuitability for tasks like forecasting.
He continues:
It provides a practical illustration of how GenAI can be highly effective when used by skilled professionals to complement their knowledge and judgment. At the same time, it highlights subtle risks, such as omissions and lack of context. The insights on where not to use GenAI, like in forecasting, are spot-on—it simply isn't built for it and often produces convincing but inaccurate results.
