Is it time to hire Ava, your first AI SDR Artisan?
I've been following the work of the team over at Artisan for a little while and then I caught the news today that they've raised a further $11.5M to supercharge their 'AI Artisan' activities.
I can imagine a lot of companies would love to accelerate their Sales Development Representative ("SDR") activities by hiring an AI Agent (or Artisan, as the company calls them).
Ava, the team reckon, will handle the following activities for you:
- She Automates Outbound: Ava automates 80% of the work your outbound team are doing manually within our all-in-one platform.
- She Finds Leads: Ava prospects for you with access to over 300M B2B leads, enriches them with demographic, firmographic, intent and technographic data and verifies their email addresses.
- She Sends Personalized Emails: Ava individually researches each prospect before writing and sending hyper-personalized emails to each, on behalf of your reps.
The idea isn't to remove your human SDRs, but rather to free them from the repetitive drudgery of researching, cutting-and-pasting and following up.
The Artisan team have illustrated the differential as things stand today rather nicely with this image:
As you can see on the left ("Before Ava"), there are a veritable ton of somewhat disconnected services, facilities and capabilities that human SDRs have to string together to meet their objectives.
Wouldn't it be great if Ava could do all that?
It's not for every use case, especially for a lot of the FinTechs that I work with regularly who only have, for example, a market size of 30 banks in Europe that they want to work with. You don't use an Artisan SDR for that. You need a totally different manual approach.
But if you've got a wide target market, I can imagine the right approach with Ava could yield great results.
If you're even just a tiny bit interested, I reckon it's worth reaching out to the Artisan team to find out more and get a demo. Check them out at https://www.artisan.co/.
