Interesting job alert: £80k Chatbot Senior Business Analyst

Regular readers know I like to keep an eye on the job boards and listings to see what's going on in the Conversational AI space. For example, last week I highlighted the roles that accounting giant Sage is hiring ("Chatbot Platform Owner").

This week I got an alert about this listing that Computerfutures are hiring for their 'Transportation' client seeking to "... bring their technology into the 21st century."

Here's the summary from the listing:

Are you a Senior Business Analyst looking to make an impact in the transportation industry with innovative technology projects? Our client is a leading UK transportation company seeking an experienced and talented Senior Business Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis. The company is embarking on exciting projects that involve automation and chatbot implementation to bring their technology into the 21st century.

I couldn't find anything else specifically referring to the chatbot strategy in the listing unfortunately.

The top band for the role is £80,000 GBP a year or about $102,000 USD. That's pretty good for a business analyst - who, according to the job spec, doesn't need any chatbot/Conversational AI experience. This could be an excellent opportunity to transition and specialise in a new industry!

I'm beginning to see a trend – at least once a week, I'm getting an alert from Jobserve mentioning the word chatbot. Most of the roles are very heavily AI or ML engineering related, so I don't bother posting them. I'm more interested when I come across more managerial style roles - although it's interesting that this one is a Senior Business Analyst, rather than product owner or similar.

I'm definitely beginning to see a trend though. I think we'll see more of these across the next few months.
