HSBC is hiring a Senior Chatbot Manager in Conversational Banking

I picked up this one this morning when I was searching to see if there were any interesting 'chatbot' jobs to highlight for you.

HSBC is hiring for a Senior Chatbot Manager in their Conversational Banking team based in London.

This global WPB role will be a key member of the Global Conversational Banking team, reporting to the Global Head of Conversational Banking, in Group Customer Channels. The Conversational Banking team is globally accountable for our Chat, Messaging and IVR channels that deliver a fantastic customer experience through a combination of automated technology and agent support.

It's fascinating that HSBC has chosen to organise things in this way. Note that this team is distinct (based on the above paragraph, anyway) from the other interface teams such as Online and Mobile.

Here are the responsibilities set out in the job listing:

• Be responsible for global business strategy and stewardship of our Chatbot Centres of Excellence - the Conversational Studios.
• Lead the approach to building and optimising chatbots, leveraging Conversational AI and Generative AI, to both enhance customer experience and reduce operational cost.
• Be focused on short-term optimisation as much as long-term strategic direction as we look to develop Virtual Agents and Virtual Assistants.
• Lead a matrix of different channel and functional stakeholders to optimise chatbots with the rest of the distribution model
• Collaborate with Product and Proposition value streams to understand requirements and to implement and optimise chatbot journeys
