Disney's hiring a $195k Senior Product Manager for Conversational AI
Disney's Direct to Consumer team is hiring a Product Manager to supervise their "Expansion and Innovation" with Conversational AI. I caught this one recently and wanted to make sure I documented it as it's always useful to track what some of the big media brands are doing with the technology.
Here's the summary:
Disney’s Direct-to-Consumer Viewer Experience organization is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead expansion and innovation of our AI Virtual Assistants within the Self-Service Support Product team. In this role, you will own the strategy and roadmap to scale adoption of our Virtual Assistants and expand its presence across global markets and channels. You will also be responsible for continuously enhancing our Virtual Assistant products by identifying and integrating emerging technologies to deliver a best-in-class, AI-powered customer support experience. In collaboration with fellow product managers, you will ensure the Virtual Assistant drives self-service success and key business outcomes. If you are passionate about AI, customer experience, and scaling global products, we’d love to hear from you.
One of the key requirements is this one:
- 5+ years of product management experience with at least 3+ years focused on AI/ML- based products, Virtual Assistants, or Conversational AI
Interesting to see companies referring to candidates having at least 3+ years of "Conversational AI" experience.
Quite a lot of us in the market have a lot more! But, 3+ years is probably realistic if you want a good spread of possible candidates.
Well done Disney for actually publishing the salary range on the listing – too many companies still write something like "Salary: £excellent" which is generally code for "£NotExcellent". Here's the wording on that:
The hiring range for this position in CA is $145,400.00 to $195,000.00 per year...
The job has been live for 3 weeks and only 62 people have clicked the Apply link so far. If you're semi interested, why don't you take a stab at it? Good luck!
